The Refresh: Simple Upgrades, Great Results
I didn’t want a full renovation, so I focused on decorative and functional updates to make the space feel fresh and stylish. Here’s what I changed:
1. Floor Pops for an Instant Upgrade
Instead of replacing my floors, I used Floor Pops—peel-and-stick vinyl tiles that instantly gave the space a high-end look. They were affordable, easy to install, and completely transformed the room. The new pattern adds character and makes the laundry area feel intentional and polished.
2. A Chandelier for a Touch of Elegance
Lighting can make or break a space, and my laundry room’s old fixture wasn’t doing it any favors. I swapped it out for a new chandelier, adding a dose of charm and sophistication. Even though it’s a laundry room, I love the idea of making it feel just as beautiful as the rest of my home.
3. Curtains That Soften the Space
I added new curtains to bring in softness and texture. Window treatments can make a space feel more finished, and in a laundry room, they help balance the functional elements.
4. Café Curtains to Hide Ugly Cabinets
My cabinets were practical but not the prettiest. Instead of replacing them, I got creative with café curtains—a quick and stylish solution to conceal storage while adding a cozy, vintage-inspired touch. It’s an easy DIY that instantly made the space feel more charming.
5. A New Lamp for Warmth & Ambience
Laundry rooms don’t always have the best lighting, so I added a new lamp to create a softer glow. Now, the space feels less like a utilitarian room and more like an inviting nook in my home.
6. Decluttering for a Fresh Start
Nothing makes a space feel refreshed like decluttering! I streamlined my laundry essentials, used woven baskets for storage, and organized everything in a way that feels functional and visually pleasing.
